Because of the curved lower section you need a shorter gear surround trim with an upward matching curve at the front.
(Stock G8 and SV6,SS,SSV Series1 gear surround trims are too long and flat to be re-used)

To compliment the curved lower components you could install a cubby with curved front door....inside the flip-up push button lid is a small removable coin/ash tray, a light, a cig lighter socket and lighter.
